Junior and Ladies Event

Hi my name is Lilly, I’m 14 and I’m organising a fishing event during the National Fishing Month at Higham Lakes on Sunday 15th August.

The event is open to everyone, from complete beginners to people who fish. I have organised this event with help from my friends, I hope you can come along and join me on the day

Workshops are available in the following and will be running throughout the day

18 year old Richard teaching a lady

 

1. Introduction to fishing and casting. Two sessions available. Session 1 roll cast and practice. Session 2 overhead cast and practice/fish. Sessions are run by GAIA instructors

2. Beginners introduction to Entomology from Entomologist Cliff Johnston

3. Beginners introduction to fly dressing with Paul Little and Anne Woodcock

4. Introduction to fishing a still water with distance casting from Nick and Richard Wood

Clive and Colin from the EA teaching ladies

 

Event as follows:

9.00am till 9.30 am meet and greet including registration to any of the following events:

9.30 t0 9.45 introduction and safety talk

Paul teaching ladies to dress flies

 

10.00 till 11.30 workshop

11.45 till 1.00p workshop

1.00 till 2.00 lunch which will be provided

2.00 till 3.00 workshop

3.15 till 4.15 workshop

4.15 till 4.30 prizes and conclusion

About ladiesfishing

Group of ladies based in the North of England and Scottish borders who enjoy fishing all species, salmon, trout, carp, pike, catfish etc. We hold regular events for beginners to advanced female anglers. From salmon days using the double handed rods to grayling and pike on the fly. We work with GAIA, AAPGAI and UKCCA level 1 and 2 instructors. We provide a complimentary wader and rod loan service on all our events.
